Jessica Caldeira
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Jessica is a certified practising Speech Pathologist, registered with Speech Pathology Australia.
Jessica graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences: Speech Pathology. Since completing her studies, she has worked in private practises providing a variety of Speech Pathology services. Jessica has over 6 years of experience working with children targeting a variety of skills, including receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency (stuttering), pre verbal communication, social skills, using AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and literacy.
Jessica has worked with clients with varying diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Down’s Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Dyslexia.
Throughout her career, Jessica has also worked within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Therapists and Psychologists. While working in schools, she regularly liaised with teachers regarding students that were receiving Speech Pathology services. Jessica is experienced in providing both individual and group-based intervention and strives to provide intervention that is not only evidence-based but individualized and engaging for all of her clients. Jessica believes that working closely with families is fundamental to improving therapy outcomes.
